At Advanced Spinal Rehab and Wellness Center, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic wellness care to our patients. Below is a sampling of the different chiropractic services we offer in our Westlake office.
We provide spinal correction utilizing gentle chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Michael Darr has years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.
Therapuetic MassageSince bringing massage into our office 8 years ago, we have found our patients get much better results. The secret is finding a good competent educated therapist with strong hands for those who require deeper tissue work. This does not mean you have to be a patient here receiving other care nor does it mean ALL of our patients require massage. But as stressful as our society has become, who wouldn't benefit from a massage? Jessica Mullen, L.M.T. is a graduate of Hocking Technical College, Nelsonville, Ohio. She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since August of 2003. She has experience working in several settings including chiropractor's offices, salons, sporting events, health fairs, schools, corporate offices, and homes. Each setting includes individuals with specific needs, allowing her to exercise her ability to recognize those needs and adapt her techniques to them. Previously employed by Miami-Jacobs Career College, Troy, Ohio, Jessica instructed Swedish Massage for two terms. She believes knowledge is power and demonstrates her knowledge to patients with specific concerns in hopes to enlighten them and encourage proactive routines. She has completed continuing education courses at Ohio College of Massotherapy, Akron, Ohio. Her courses included Bob McAtee's Sports Massage, Upledger Institute's Lymph Drainage Therapy I, and Spa Stone Therapy. Along with these modalities, her methods include Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Facilitated Stretching, and Therapeutic Touch. Jessica empathizes with her patients' needs and strives to make them feel comfortable while maintaining a professional approach.
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each patient is a whole person, and helping them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.
We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient´s return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Do you know how these supplements and vitamins interact with one another? Michael Darr can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.
